The Beta release for VDatum 3.0. This release automatically detects tidal regions for users' elevation data and returns the appropriate tidal transformation based on the tidal bounding polygons.
Here are some other additional features:
- Horizontal datum transformations have been
extended to allow transformations among ellipsoidal datums,
- ITRF 2008 has been added,
- More choices have been added for input and output coordinates. For example, more coordinate systems (geographic, UTM or geocentric XYZ) , distance/length units (meter, US foot or international foot)
In the next stage, we will focus on making the file conversions run more efficiently, add a command-line mode, and support State Plane Coordinate Systems.
